After a successful 20-year career in corporate America, I gave it all up and decided to follow my passion for fitness and nutrition and become a personal trainer. For years I’ve been committed to staying fit, eating healthy and also practicing mindfulness. What started out as an interest in running morphed into competing in triathlons and participating in other endurance activities. During that time I learned (sometimes the hard way) the importance of core and functional strength as well as nutrition, in improved performance, recovery, injury prevention, and improved confidence.
I know the joy and sense of accomplishment when you run your first 5K (or participate in your first triathlon) and also the frustrations when our body doesn't cooperate and allow us to participate in the activities we love. And I know the toll that working at desk all day takes on our bodies - poor posture, tight muscles, and slowed metabolism, and how difficult it can be to take care of ourselves when we lead such busy lives. That's why I'm doing this - I want to share my experience so that others can get strong, get fit, gain confidence, and be healthy.
My goal is to educate and empower you by giving you the tools to achieve your fitness and nutrition goals. I take a holistic approach and give consideration to all the things that can impact your health and wellness (muscle imbalances, eating habits, work environment, stress, etc.) Through attention to correct form and proper movement, I help you become more aware of your body and experience the satisfaction of feeling your body change and grow stronger. By encouraging and challenging you I help you improve your fitness and strength, gain confidence and enjoy life!
